But alas, we do it anyway because we’re human. We jump into life without an instruction manual. Ultimately allowing negative thoughts to overpower us.
And we pay the price — in terms of our mental and physical health, our relationships, and our performance in the workplace.
The Right Perspective Can Change Everything
I went through the same problems.
I’d complain and lose my patience on petty issues. I’d visualize worst case scenarios for all my stumbling blocks.
I hated my job. My relationship with my family and friends grew strained because of it. In a nutshell, my outlook on life was filled with bitterness, worry, and stress.
Then I discovered life is like school. You either flunk and retake a grade. Or put in the work and advance to the next.
So I decided to actually do my life’s daily homework, so to speak. In other words, seriously work on bettering myself. Something I’ve put off for far too long.
During my 15-year journey, I ultimately realized all struggles are blessings in disguise. Yup, as difficult as it appeared, it forced me to plow through barriers and acquire knowledge from life’s daily tests.
Of course I stumbled and failed and stumbled some more, but I never quit.
Today, I’m more calm than ever. I don’t go berserk every time something goes wrong. I take it in stride. I’ve learned self-acceptance, to love and forgive others for their misdeeds, and show gratitude for everything in life.
